Particpate in Richmond's Plan for Parks

The city has announced about 3,000 households will receive a survey in the mail from the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities that will be part of a master planning process the Department is undertaking to determine how it can best serve the public.

Department’s Director J. R. Pope said "The resulting master plan can only be effective and relevant to the public if we have the citizens’ input. It is critical that the citizens tell us what they want.

Once the survey is completed, all the information gathered will be incorporated into a draft master plan, and the draft will then be presented to the public this fall for further comment and adjustment.

I have sent an email to Mr. Pope to see if you can request a survey via mail or if it can be downloaded from the Parks & Rec website, printed, and mailed/fax in or completed online.

You can call the Parks & Rec department at 804-646-5733 for more info or e-mail them here.

I will keep you posted.
